Union Minister Launches Free AI Skill Development Program in Indian Languages
The Union Minister of Education and Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, Shri Dharmendra Pradhan, launched a free AI skill development program in Indian languages on World Youth Skills Day. The program, called AI for India 2.0, is a joint initiative of Skill India and GUVI, and is available in nine languages, including Hindi, Kannada, Telugu, and Tamil.
The program is designed to help youth learn the skills they need to succeed in the AI and machine learning fields. It covers topics such as data science, machine learning, natural language processing, and computer vision.
The program is open to college students, fresh graduates, and early professionals. It is a great opportunity for young people who want to learn about AI and machine learning and build a career in these fields.
During the launch event, the union minister emphasized the need to liberate emerging technologies like Artificial Intelligence from language constraints. As a result, the minister announced the introduction of technology courses primarily in Indian languages. This initiative aims to overcome language barriers in technology education and ensure the youth, particularly in rural areas, are equipped for the future. The minister regarded this as a significant step towards empowering the nation's youth and making them future-ready.
